Cooperative Lakes Monitoring Program (CLMP)

Lakeville Lake has participated in the Cooperative Lake Monitoring Program (CLMP) through the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality and Michigan Lakes and Streams Association for over thirty years. The program uses volunteer lake monitors to take samples and readings in specific lakes throughout the summer. The information collected is provided to the CLMP program for analysis and recording.
Each year the resulting data is presented in a summary report specific to each participating lake. Year to year trends are plotted and displayed and an overall assessment of the status of the lake's environment is presented. Individual Lake data can be compared to other participating lakes.
There are a number of specific options available within the program. For the most part. Lakeville Lake has historically participated in three main areas, Secchi Disc Transparency (lake clarity), Spring/Summer Phosphorus and Chlorophyll-a.  In 2017 we added Dissolved Oxygen to our test procedures.
The CLMP program can be reviewed by searching for CLMP - Michigan, or MiCorps. The link is micorps.net/lake-monitoring.

The Report for the 2021 season was just issued and is attached below. Past year reports are also available through the CLMP web-site at micorps.net.
